In 2024, the Insurance and Financial Practitioners Association of Singapore (IFPAS) celebrates its 55th anniversary and to mark this remarkable milestone, IFPAS sponsored a series of webinars and certifications of the Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) for its financial practitioners and the community.
In collaboration with Keystone Clinic & Surgery, the Emre Legal team has been sharing the purpose and importance of the LPA with financial practitioners and members of the public each month.
After receiving an overwhelming response to the LPA initiative, the LPA talks and certifications were extended to various Community Centres, including Toa Payoh West Community Centre, Marymount Community Centre, and Changi-Simei Community Centre.
With the LPA Mega Event held on 18 August 2024, a total number of 3,472 certifications have been sponsored by IFPAS.
Making an LPA allows you to plan ahead by appointing a trusted person to make decisions on your behalf in the event you lose mental capacity. During the certification events, several members of the public expressed that completing their LPA has given them peace of mind and a better understanding of how to plan for the future. The Emre Legal team is honoured to be a part of this initiative, contributing to a positive impact in our community.
